We are bringing the Annual Read-A-Thon BACK to Cedar Grove!
Our school Read-A-Thon will run from Tuesday, January 16th - January 30th, and is sure to be a fun and exciting event. Information packets should be sent home with your child this afternoon. The Read-A-Thon is a fundraising event for the PTA. It will be based on pledges going towards your child reading. It's straight dollar amount pledges vs money/minute. 100% of funds will go back to the school for grade level field trips!
Now, for the really GOOD part...the fundraising is great for the school, but it doesn't get the kids EXCITED to read (which is what it's all about), so we are holding a contest between grade levels to see who logs the most minutes/reader. The winning grade level will win a MOVIE & PIZZA PARTY!
...PLUS BRAGGING RIGHTS!
...PLUS A TROPHY TO DISPLAY IN THE CLASSROOMS!
But don't worry, you don't have to log the minutes on your child's Dashboard, we'll do it for you. Just have them fill out their paper timesheet logs and turn them in during our 3 check-in dates...

We are encouraging everyone to activate their student's Read-A-Thon account as soon as possible. The instructions are straightforward, making it quick and hassle-free.
